Order and Access Textbooks


Required digital textbooks are delivered automatically via AsULearn and should be available by the first day of classes. 

Follow the instructions below to review and order required physical textbooks, as well as purchased course materials. 


Review and Order Physical Textbooks and Course Materials

You will log in with your App State user name and password to the Campus Store’s ordering system to review and order materials. 


Log in to your student account

  • Use the button labeled “Student Login to Order Textbooks
  • Your Campus Store student account is connected to your Banner ID and is automatically generated. When you log in, it will be populated with materials for the courses in which you are enrolled. 
  • Do not create a “New customer” account or sign in to a “Returning customer” account.


Order textbooks and course materials

  • Navigate to your My Account page. 
  • Select “My Curriculum” and the current semester to access your materials.
  • Select “Begin Shopping” and select each course to review required rental textbooks and additional purchased course materials. 
  • Digital textbooks are designated with an “EA” title and do not need to be ordered. These will be available via AsULearn by the first day of classes. 
  • For each required physical textbook, select “Rent” (purchase type) and “Used” (condition). Select the rental duration and the accept check box, then “Add to Cart.” 
  • For purchased course materials, select “Buy” (purchase type) and “New” (condition), then “Add to Cart.”


Submit billing information and complete purchase

  • Note: Required physical textbooks are charged $0.01 each for credit card verification. 
  • Select the delivery method, verify/add the shipping address if applicable and “Continue.”
  • Enter the credit card information and your App State affiliation. 
  • Review the selected billing address. This address must match the billing address of the credit card used for the purchase. 
  • If necessary, select “Add Address” to add the correct billing address for the credit card. 
  • Select “Continue” to review and place your order.
  • If the selected address does not match the billing address of the credit card, you will receive an “Authorization declined” error message. 
  • Select “Edit Cart” to select/add the correct billing address and place your order again.

Access Digital Textbooks and Course Materials

Required digital textbooks and course materials are delivered automatically via AsULearn and should be available by the first day of classes. To access your materials:

  • Select “My Materials” in your AsULearn courses. This will open the AsULearn Dashboard, which will display all of your course materials for each active course in which you are enrolled.
  • Select “Read Now” to go to the VitalSource Bookshelf to sign in or create an account.
  • Tip: Create your VitalSource Bookshelf with a personal email account to maintain access to digital textbooks after graduation. 
  • Some digital courseware requires an access code which is provided to students enrolled in these courses. 
  • If your course materials are not available in the "My Materials" tab, please contact your instructor.


Need assistance with digital materials?

If you have trouble accessing your digital textbooks and course materials, submit a Campus Store Support Request ticket (log-in required).
